I have always loved Ramen. We tried this recipe out this year and fell in love! Easy meal that is a great change up from the normal meal line up.
Elk Ramen
Serves: 4 Cooking Time: 30 min
Ingredients
- 4 c. beef broth
- 1 tsp. Fish sauce
- 2 tbsp. Soy sauce
- Olive oil
- 2 elk steaks, roughly 9 oz. each
- 8 oz. Chinese egg noodles
- 2 c. Kale, cut into bite size pieces
- 2 c. (4 large) julienned Carrots
- 4 eggs
- Chili garlic paste
- Sesame oil
- 4 green onions
Steps
- Bring broth, soy sauce, fish oil to a boil
- Rub steak with olive oil, salt, and pepper
- Add noodles and kale to boiling broth, reduce to simmer
- Sear steaks in a cast iron, 2 min per side, remove from pan
- Julienne carrots
- Add both/ noodle mixture into 4 bowls
- 1/2 c. carrots to each bowl
- Fry eggs leaving the yoke runny
- Slice steak thinly
- Add 1 egg to bowl
- Divide the steak evenly between the bowls
- Drizzle with a little sesame oil and chili garlic paste to taste
- Top with sliced green onions
