We always hunt Coues deer in Mexico during the rut—in January and February. But when our friends at Mesquite Mountain Outfitters posted a photo of a double drop tine buck, Chase made plans to hunt it in early October—just before the buck would shed its velvet. Chase, Josh, and Joe loaded up and headed down, despite record-breaking rains to hunt one Fuzzy deer.
