One of the most odd species in the deer family, Caribou are curious critters, often staying just out of bow range of the weary hunter. When they see you, they come toward you. They roam vast distances, logging hundreds of miles in massive herds as they migrate. Herd sizes are a form of protection from predators who chase them across the tundras in the northern latitudes. Caribou are fun animals to hunt, and tasty animals to eat.
