Another year is come to an end. But more importantly, another year is about to begin. And with it comes the opportunity to make 2025 remarkable.

Here’s the Peak Experience framework for a year to remember.

  1. Put at least 1 Peak Experience on the calendar.

This is a big one, some big experience you want to do before you die. The horizons of life should be broken up with these from one year to another. They can be hunts, or they can be other things. These experiences your life interesting, and give you something to look forward to and work toward.

What do you want to do in 2025? Put it on your calendar and do it.

  2. Do at least 1 thing that’s so hard, it scares you.

This is just a challenge. It could be physical, it could be something mentally difficult, or it could be socially difficult. Maybe 2025 is the year you run a marathon or an Ironman. Maybe 2025 is the year you make a major change that you’ve been putting off, like into a new career that suits you better. And maybe it’s something as simple as mending a relationship that you broke, that you know needs fixing. Do one thing that you don’t want to do, one thing that scares you but you know needs doing.

  3. Plan at least 6 Mini Peaks.

Not every horizon in our life can be broken up with sheep hunts, unfortunately. Most of us need smaller peaks that lead toward those larger experiences. Mini Peaks break up the plateaus between big life changing adventures.

In all likelihood, this is just a new way of thinking about your current life and activities, one that fits the Peaks framework. In that case, keep doing what you’re doing.

  4. Do at least 1 service project that’s out of the ordinary for you

One of the most important parts of life is being useful to the community you are part of. Too often we do too little. The value in being a Boy Scout was that you learned to serve others while improving yourself. Nothing has changed now that we’re adults. But most of us (and I’m really picking on myself here) forgot the importance of service. So in 2025, find at least one thing you can do to be useful to your community.

Additionally, here are the three focus areas for 2025.

  1. Muscles

Your body is the foundation for everything you do and experience in life. Everywhere you go, every peak you climb is managed by the body that carries you up it. 2025 is the year to give your body the attention it deserves. Whether that’s sticking to an already established program, or starting to remodel that dad bod you’ve been living in for the several years. Start with your muscles, and your brain, your finances, and your friends will all follow suit.

  2. Money

Money is an indicator of the value you create for others and a physical representation of your energy expenditure. Simple as that. 2025 is the year to make more and keep more by spending less on stupid shit you don’t need.

Money opens doors to new experience and better living.

Maybe this is the year you start your own business, you take on a side job, or you change careers to one that better suits you. You can make money regardless of your profession if you’re creative and helpful. (I know of a virtual assistant who earns over $1 million annually by teaching others how to become virtual assistants – the potential earnings are limited only by your creativity and willingness to build something.)

  3. Social Network

I don’t know anyone who’s better at social networking than Chase. He’s friendly, engaging, and outgoing. And because of that, he’s made friends with guys all over the country. These connections have opened doors to numerous exciting experiences. They’ve helped us find new hunting units and areas, and even put him in bush planes to search for moose and other wildlife in remote locations. The quality of our lives is greatly influenced by the number and depth of our social connections. This year, make an effort to expand your social circle and strengthen the relationships you already have with your friends.

As we embrace 2025, remember that peak experiences aren’t just events on a calendar—they’re the milestones that shape our legacy. By focusing on physical strength, financial growth, and meaningful connections, while pursuing challenges that stretch our comfort zones, we’re not just planning a year—we’re designing a life worth remembering. Make 2025 your year of purposeful peaks, meaningful service, and transformative growth. The summit awaits.
