A New Mexico Tahr

We recently received an awesome message from one of our Channel subscribers (who asked to not be named), about an incredible hunt he just finished up… in New Mexico of all places. We’re making plans to travel to New Zealand to hunt tahr in 2020, who knew they were only a state away from us.

I wanted to share with you the results of the hunt. It was to say the least a very difficult hunt! and I’m no stranger to hard hunts, recently packed in 15 miles and killed a mule deer and carried all the meat and 203’’ head and rack out by my self, but this was a grueling hunt in low temps (a low of 6 degree) and a foot to a foot and a half snow.

I love watching your youtube channel and like the way you guys get after it! You look like a great group of guys and good friends. I never buy t-shirts or anything for that matter from channels tv or other wise but liked your guys show so much I wanted to support you in some small way so I recently went to your web page and ordered the shirt in the photo and was actually wearing it as an under shirt when I shot this awesome animal. I realized I was wearing it while we were taking pictures and thought you might appreciate a picture so we set up the shot and here you have it. I wish you guys all the best and hope to meet you in the future.

If you’re wondering what he measured out at… he is unofficially 13-3/8, left side and 13-2/8, right side with 9-1/8 basses.

Thanks again for all the hard work you put into your channel and for the great unfiltered true representation of your hunts! Keep up the good work and I wish you all the success in the world!
