New ZeAland Tahr 2027
DIY Alpine Hunt in the Southern Alps
DATES: TBD
This experience is a journey into the Southern Alps of New Zealand's South Island, targeting Himalayan Tahr in some of the most dramatic alpine terrain accessible by helicopter. This experience combines a base camp with daily missions into steep country where Tahr hide. We find them in the steep faces and ridgelines that will test both your stones and your fitness.
Primary focus is Tahr, with opportunities for Chamois, Red Stag, and wild pigs depending on terrain and encounters. The experience includes helicopter insertion into prime hunting zones on the mountain and base camp operations.
This is mountain hunting at its most raw and rewarding—expect to cover up to 10 miles daily while climbing thousands of vertical feet in pursuit of one of the world's most challenging mountain game animals.

Best option for first-time NZ hunters and those who may never return and want to make sure they kill the best tahr possible.
DIY with Logistics
No guide in the field, but all logistics are handled. Helicopter, lodging, and ground transport are taken care of. You'll be hunting with on your own through some of the most dramatic alpine terrain in the world. You'll share camp with the group. Best for experienced mountain hunters who don't need a hand to hold but don't want to sort the logistics themselves.
Full DIY
You handle everything. Flights, permits, finding a helicopter operator willing to fly foreigners into the backcountry, all of it. For hunters who want to own the entire experience from the ground up.
